Fixed Wire Testing

Your job role:

• Conducting fixed wire testing and completing laptop-based EICR reports, mainly for large commercial organisations
• Carrying out emergency light testing, remedial work and thermographic surveys (full training will be provided)

You must have:

• City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/95 qualification
• City & Guilds 2360, 2330 (or equivalent) Level 3 in electrical installations
• City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition qualification
• Full current driving license
• Previous experience of testing in a similar environment

The ideal candidate will:

• Enjoy a varied working pattern – whilst some days are 9am-5pm, others will require you to complete the testing out of hours or occasionally at weekends
• Are a self-starter – you can work unsupervised, use your own initiative and have good attention to detail
• Have a positive attitude, a flexible approach to work and can adapt to clients’ needs

Company Van

We want to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible when driving around in your Intersafe van. All of our vehicles are less than three years old and boast air conditioning, electric windows, a Bluetooth touchscreen and a large engine. You’ll have a fuel card to keep your car filled up and vehicle management on hand when you need it.

Staying away

If you’re away from home to work, we’ll ensure you’re well looked after. Our employees stay at Premier Inn hotels and are given a £20 meal allowance per day – if you want a beer, have one on us.

Uniforms

Our uniform is designed for comfort. You’ll have Dickies polo shirts and trousers, a softshell jacket, branded waterproof hi-vis jackets and breathable safety trainers to allow you to work comfortably, even in difficult environments.

Training & upskilling

Full site survey

Before quoting for a project, we conduct a full site survey and will pass the details onto you before you begin the work. Our job sheet software is best on the market to ensure that operations are seamless from survey to completion.

Large jobs only

At Intersafe, we only work with large establishments – our average job is 250 circuits. This saves you driving to multiple sites per day to carry out smaller, quicker jobs.
